It gave birth to the 'Screws Reworked' project from which Nils selected nine reworks to feature on a special edition re-issue which also includes his original ‘Screws’.Īmerican composer Keith Kenniff, better known as Helios, Bug Lover from Hamburg und French artist Fred Yaddaden are amongst Nils’s final selection, housed in an inner sleeve carrying a visual rework created by Bertrand Sallé.
These nine intimate recordings were offered to fans to download for free and in return fans thanked Nils by sending him their audio and visual reinterpretations.įascinated by the results, Nils then publicly asked his fans to submit their reworks or any form of art that was inspired by the release and all these submissions have been collected since on a dedicated website:. Many many other notes of the piano have been struck since these days, and before we all forget about this, I thought it would be a good moment to share these lullabies with you. I decided to put them aside and started to work on my small album, Screws.
